Young Leaders highlights the vital role young Traditional Owners play in protecting and promoting culture, community and Reef Country. It highlights how young leaders are uniquely positioned to bridge Western science and Traditional knowledge through strong communication, experience and cultural understanding.
Here, reflections from young leaders reveal the value of learning, up-skilling and gaining diverse experiences and bringing those learnings back to their Elders and Country. The importance of Ranger programs is also highlighted as a way for young leaders to realise employment aspirations while looking after Country.
